The 2006 Ibsen Year marks the fact that 100 years have passed since Henrik Ibsen died. Therese Nortvedt is one of six artists who have made her impressions of Ibsen with oil paintings and lithographs based on A Doll's House, written in Italy in 1879. Nortvedt bases her illustrations on a close reading of the play.

The six artists have been chosen to give their own interpretations of the six most frequently performed plays of Henrik Ibsen. The four other artists are Hanne Christensen, Tore Hansen, Bjorn Carlsen, Ulf Nilsen and Thomas Knarvik.

During 2006 the exhibition will be shown in London, Oslo, Moscow, Svalbard, Berlin, Grimstad, Vinstra, Skien, Seattle, New York, Houston, Washington DC and Minneapolis.
